Blessed and Awed!

We are on the last week of our Bible study (Esther, by Beth Moore). I don't want it to end!! By far, this has been the best study I have ever done and I know the ladies that I facilitate feel the same way. I have never read the book of Esther and saw it the way Beth presents it - a chapter a week, really digging into it. It's awesome!

The study comes at a time in my personal life when I have some issues, the church I attend has some issues and everyone has issues! It is in this last week of the study where God has spoken to me the most through 3 verses:

God promises that:

He will work everything out. (Ephesians 1:11)

According to His good purpose. (Philippians 2:13)

And that in all things, God works for our good. (Romans 8:28)

He has not left me, but carries me all the way, through the valleys. I just need to trust Him to keep His promises.

Blessed,
Sharon

Life comes at ya hard..

Have you ever seen that insurance commercial where all this bad stuff happens to people and then they say "Life comes at you hard" ~ That is kind of the way I am feeling these days.

Not that anything "bad" has happened, it is just busyness. That seems to be my enemy. I get tired of people needing "me". Can anyone in this house do anything for themselves without mom doing it for them??? I love to feel needed, don't get me wrong - but this is crazy. I am more busy now than I was when my kids were 3&4!! They are teenagers now!! How did this happen?

Better get back to reality - I still have dishes to do, clothes to wash and a Sunday school lesson to prepare notes for!

*sigh*

Still here....

....just slightly busy. Everything is ok with us. One concern is the kids' insurance - they are going up on the premium from $20 a month to $266 a month!!!!! That is going to take a chunk out of our monthly budget all starting Nov. 1st. God promises to take care of us and provide for us - I'm gonna need to cling to that promise tightly.

Homecoming and birthdays

Here are a couple of pictures of Rachel before she left for the dance. I think she looked very nice.

Today is my son's birthday - 13 today! Two teenagers in 'da house'!! *Groan* they are gonna put me in an early grave! At 43, I'm already seeing a few gray hairs! I guess I earned them, right?

And just for good measure, here is a picture of our oldest daughter.
